Beagle Dog on the Farm 2/4/1999

Update 3-6-1999: The following warning dream halted my work on the new dream-link.org website while at it's intended location.  This dream told me to stop work on it and go another direction at that time.  The reasons for this were not clear to me then but events that soon followed made everything all to clear.  See notes at the bottom of this dream.

Warning Dream

 I was standing in a half-picked cornfield at harvest and in the nighttime.  There was a tractor that had a 12-volt spotlight on a pole standing up from it.  There was a big truck for hauling grain.   I was looking around and I had work cloths on and gloves when I saw something running at me from the distance.  It was a beagle dog.  It ran up to me, sniffed my left hand then turned and ran back the way it came all without barking.

 I unhooked the battery light and got in the truck to leave but in the dark I got it in some forward gear instead of backwards and ended up stuck for a moment in what looked like an area of mud that had been covered by corn stalks and leaves.  I finally got it in reverse and backed out, turned around and was starting to leave when I woke up.

 I see a work related subject mostly concealed in darkness and things going on that I am not aware of.  I see the beagle dog represents something like a talent scout perhaps checking out my work (left hand).  I see a situation where I should be turning around but in the dark can’t see what gear I am in and make a small mistake that I soon correct once I realize what I have done wrong.

  Dogs in dreams that a person does not recognize are warnings.  A beagle dog is a hunting dog and I have worked and hunted with them long ago so it is a familiar thing to me.  It means the dog represents someone who is looking at some of my work.  He's literally checking me out as he "sniff's my hand."

 If this is about my writing work I have not sent anything off yet but I have posted some things on the Internet that are related to my DreamLink book.  It’s all copyrighted but if someone wanted some of it for their own legal or illegal reasons it would be easy to get.

  An example of what this dream might be saying is that someone is checking me and my work out without them wanting me to know what they are doing.  The dream tells me I went forward with my work when I should have been backing up and turning around with it.  Copyrighted materials are stolen every single day on the Internet and in order to enforce a copyright law you must catch that person using your material in a way that you do not approve of.  This is why I am thinking I should go ahead and get my book published then finish the DreamLink webiste here afterwards.  Judging how I was at one time the first and only DreamLink on the Internet and now there are so many of them on here you can hardly find the one you are looking for.  Some people swipe things, ideas and material that do not belong to them and then use it for their own commercial gain.

 It will be important to watch this one because if there are any changes in the meaning of the dog symbol at this point I will need it to make updates in the DreamLink book.

  A very peculiar set of events followed along after this dream was received.  CI Host, one of the top most advertised web hosting services in the U.S. managed to loose the original domain name for me "dreamlink.org" and I had Todd tell them to register "dream-link.org" for me over a month later.  By the time I realized they were going to loose that domain name for me to I received a call from their billing department trying to charge me over $300 for services I had not asked for and had not authorized.  She was also trying to charge me for the domain name they had lost for me.  The women was very rude and accused me of lying to her and of trying to defraud CI Host.  She said my American Express Credit Card was no good and I told her I didn't have an American Express credit card, I never have.  I didn't recognize the name on the card either.  I didn't even know who she was or who CI Host was at that time, it was the place where Todd had told them to register my domain name but that's all he asked them to do.  A long drawn out argument arose out of this and the rude women had all of Todd's sites closed down along with other sites that were paid a year in advance.  This includes "eaglehost.com" where the new dream-link.org was being built.  This is to say the site I was building there is GONE.  Why did she attack them when she was mad at me ?  I called her 
back and tried to straighten out the confusion but received the same rude treatment.  My wife then called and 
suddenly my bill went from over $300 to around $40.    Each time we talked to her she threatened to close down my account as if punishing me for being a bad person.  Each time I told her to close it down because it had not been authorized by me.  She would call me a liar again and hang up on me.  I made at least 3 attempts to reach 
someone above her but no one in administration would answer my messages to them.  Still she refused to close 
down that account and later sent me another bill in e-mail.  I sent a message to her to inform her what a very bad 
impression she had made, telling her there was no way I was going to pay for an account that I had not authorized 
that would not work and again telling her to close the account and I sent a copy to  the CEO of CI Host.  I also 
mentioned how I had contacted the BBB in Fort Worth, TX and reported them.  The CEO then finally noticed the 
message and I was surprised because I didn't think anyone else worked there.  Then he sent me a threat telling me 
that if I contacted the BBB he would file a wrongful filing against me.  (To those who don't know, there is no 
such thing as a wrongful filing with the BBB.) (And, the key words was "I have" meaning I was not 
threatening to file with the BBB on them I all ready had filed on them.)  He then informed me that he was 
going to have my account closed at CI Host and they would never do business with me again.  I had to laugh, it 
was about the only funny part of the entire mess, you see I wasn't suppose to have an account at CI Host in the first 
place not to mention that the women in billing had told me three times before she was going to close me down and 
instead had closed down quite a few paying customers.  Then I got another message from the CEO showing an itemized bill for charges amounting to over $285.  He was trying to prove to me that I had an account there.  The thing I guess he didn't know was that I was not the one who filled out the form and opened that account.  I checked the items on the list and the only things correct on it were my personal information and the password I had intended to use.  The next day I got a message from their VP in charge of Customer Relations and had to tell the entire story again for about the 10th time.  

The domain name was wrong, they had tried to sell me a domain name that belonged to someone else.  They had it pointed toward the wrong web site.  They had the service marked down as a full service site that I had not asked for as I was going to rent from Todd.

The event started a cascade of events from angered CI Host customers.  I received messages from some of them telling me how they were going to move their sites as soon as they could.  I received messages from some who were in the process of moving at that moment.  They told me “do not do business with CI Host” and told some of the horror stories they had experienced at the hands of CI Host.  I still have some of these message from them as I tend to keep messages for a long time.

This was the event that my dream was warning me about before the event actually took place.  Your dreams can warn you of dangers and problems in your life as well.
