This is August's pictures from the Hacket Zoo! August is still living at the Hacket Zoo and is always glad to have visitors.  Be sure to tell him that we sent you.  I wish I had some pictures handy to put in here perhaps I'll find them and get them on here.  I have been very busy lately wring and doing video work.  See our news page for more information.

August now lives in the Hackett, AR zoo where he has a fellow squirrel on the other side of his cage so they can argue with each other over who has the nut.  Both of them believe they have won the argument and so both of them are happy to have another squirrel to argue with.

Keepers at the zoo said they had not seen August outside of his nest until we arrived, this being the one week since he has been there anniversary.  The moment he heard our voices he was out to greet us and ready for a hand out.  Here you see Kristy giving August a nut.

Here you see a picture of Kristy and August nose to nose through the fence.  He was so very happy to see her.  You can also see the sign that hangs on his new home so you will know which squirrel he is when you visit the Hackett Zoo.

Normally they do not allow visitors to the zoo to go behind the outside fence to be near these animal cages because in this same area they keep a number of animals that will bite, and some of them could bite a finger completely off.  Still they like to be feed and some of them have a plastic pipe that runs to their cage so you can feed them by putting the food in the pipe so it can slide down to the cages.  You can feed August the same way.
